Echosphere
A location based game for mobile phones

Echosphere is a location based game for mobile phones. Many players play with and against each other in rounds taking several days. In order to find teammates, certain elements of the game or take action they have to move through the real world. The game is played by creating a secret identity and trying to uncover the identity of other players. Others can be located and identified by their mobile phones. In this way the players become surveillance operators or are observed themselves.

Echosphere forms a platform for experience and initiates discussion about dealing with personal data. The objective of this game is to assist people with their daily considerations regarding the privacy of their personal data and in this light to develop a safe concept for location data.
